SmartVital

Monitoring High-risk Patients in the Domestic Environment

The goal of the “SmartVital“ project, conducted by the Fraunhofer IPMS and its partners from research and industry, is to develop a mobile system for the monitoring of cardiovascular patients in the domestic setting.

During an inpatient stay, stress tests are carried out under medical supervision. When the patients are released from the hospital, up to now, they have no indication of their possible stress profile.

In a pilot project, the stress in the domestic environment is determined and linked to the patient’s ECG data. The system’s recorded data is telemetrically conveyed to the supervising clinic for analysis.
